Los patios de Córdoba

The two first weeks of May, the city of Cordoba celebrates the “Fiesta de los Patios”. It is a unique opportunity to enter and visit for free most of the beautiful communal, family or multi-family owned patios in the city’s historical quarter.

In the patios you will be able to admire an abundant array of plants, learn about the skills involved in their creation, listen to some traditional singing, flamenco guitar playing and dancing, food and drinks!

This traditional festival of the courtyards was declared patrimony of the humanity by the UNESCO.

There are 2 key events, one is the Patio competition with awards to the vegetable ornamentation, including balconies and railings; and the other one is the feast of the courtyards comprising the musical and artistic performances.
